North Coast Rotary was able to support e-3 Kids International with 1000 little dresses and shorts made by the St. Clarence Little Dresses Ministry led by Rita Backus and Annemarie Schroeder. Additionally Big Frog of Avon donated many t-shirts to the cause. At a recent meeting, North Coast Rotary heard from e-3 Kids International Founder and Executive Director Carol Turner. Their mission is to equip, empower and educate youth in impoverished countries. The 10-year-old organization, based in Fredericksburg Virginia operates in multiple countries. Carol’s presentation focused on their schools in Kenya, and their collaboration with Sandusky resident JoEllen Schadeck to establish sewing academies https://e3kids.com/stories/sewingacademy
JoEllen will deliver the North Coast Rotary donations to Carol in Virginia in time for a June 2022 shipment to Kenya. e-3 Kids also works closely with Virginia area Rotarians and Christian organizations. North Coast Rotary will continue to connect e-3 Kids with local Rotary organizations who do work in the same impoverished areas.
Note: The N. Olmsted St. Clarence Little Dresses Ministry meet the first two Wednesdays of every month to assemble materials, sew dresses and shorts and embellish them. They are in need of fabric donations. Please use the form below if you have 100% cotton fabric that you can donate . A North Coast Rotarian will contact you to arrange the donation. Thank you!
