At our Rotary on the Road meeting we learned about the Towne Center Community Campus – Avenue Assisted Living; Commons Independent Living and the new Parkway Memory Care Assisted Living. As Anne Naumann explained, Sprenger keeps safety and continuity of care in mind providing these multiple levels of care. Parkway was developed to optimize quality of life and encourage residents to maintain a healthy level of activity. As we toured we saw residents enjoying the natural light in the atrium, wide hallways and spacious accommodations. Special thanks to Chef Jim Smith for his delicious made-to-order omelette (and more) breakfast.
Sprenger Health Care Towne Center has been a partner with North Coast Rotary. They provide our weekly meeting space and have donated desserts for our Pizza Bake-Off fundraisers. Sprenger Towne Center hosts our premiere fundraiser – Sip & Support Wine Tasting in February providing gourmet appetizers and desserts to accompany the wine selections.
Thank you Sprenger Health Care for your support!
Thanks to Sprenger, The Wine Room, our sponsors and over eighty guests the North Coast Rotary Sip & Support Wine Tasting was a great success! The event fell on “National Wine Day” and was supported by eleven distributors with 62 different wine labels. In addition to the unlimited wine sampling, guests purchased many bottles of wine with discounts from The Wine Room. Sprenger Towne Center generously donated their space, tables, chairs, dining services and more. Sprenger Manager and Rotarian Annie Naumann worked the setup and takedown. The event was coordinated by The Wine Room co-owner and Rotarian, Pete Sandrev, with guests enjoying gourmet appetizers prepared by Chef Jim Smith. A date has already been set for next year’s event which promises to be even bigger and better!
What a great first Rotary and Interact fundraiser in Sheffield Village/ Sheffield Lake! Over 150 guests came to the Great Pizza Bake off at Brookside High School. Congratulations to the Winners: Neechi’s for both Best Pepperoni and People’s Choice, Pizza Hut for Best Cheese and Doughboy’s Pizza and Wings for Best Specialty.
Adding to the fun were the activities managed by the Interact Club and Rotarian Doug Maurer; Puttin-out-Polio, Face-painting, Autumn-coloring, Halloween tattoos and the Pie-in-the-Face.
Thank you to Superintendent Mike Cook, Sheffield Village Mayor Hunter, High School Principal Brent Schremp, Rotarian, Guidance Counselor and Emcee Gina Eschke, and Sprenger who donated cookies for dessert.
