Scholarship Awardees Thank Rotary

Graduates from Avon, Avon Lake and Brookside High Schools who were each awarded North Coast Rotary $1000 Service Above Self scholarships, met with Rotarians to thank them at a recent Rotary meeting.  Awardees are:  Amelia Tomak, Avon – Jane R. Kuzman Memorial Scholarship; Ellamarie Green, Avon Lake – Bon R. Russell Memorial Scholarship; Mikhail Pyltsov, Avon Lake – Marilyn Weems Memorial Scholarship; Robert DeLuca, Brookside, awarded the Service Above Self Scholarship and Alexandra Rion, Brookside Interact Scholarship.  Congratulations and best wishes in their college endeavors!

Tuesday January 11th Meeting 7:30 AM Featuring Students of the Month from Avon, Avon Lake and Brookside High Schools

North Coast Rotary will recognize three students selected by their schools for selfless acts, positively influencing others, willingness to help and more. These students will receive a congratulatory letter, certificate of achievement, Main Event gift cards and a gift certificate to a local pizza shop. North Coast Rotary thanks the Avon School Administration – Ben Hodge, Kristina Buller, and Rob Woods; the Avon Music Boosters; and Avon students, families and friends for your support at North Coast Rotary’s Great Pizza Bake-Off!

Everyone seemed to enjoy the varied pizza samples from Cafe Piccolo, Donatos, D’Tutanelli’s,  Marco’s, Masters, Neechi’s and Pizza Hut and especially the generously donated donuts from Peace, Love and Little Donuts.

Funds raised will be used for multiple youth initiatives including leadership seminars, speech and writing contests, international youth exchange, scholarships and other programs.
