North Coast Rotary is committed to youth programs and initiatives and works primarily with Avon, Avon Lake and Sheffield/Sheffield Lake public schools.  Programs and initiatives include:

• Annual Scholarships – The Foundation awards scholarships to graduating seniors
• Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership program – A leadership training opportunity for youth
• Students of the Month – Recognition by each school of their Unsung Hero
• Annual 4-Way Test Speech Contest – High school students develop and present their speech on an ethical problem-solving tool in this competition
• Annual 4-Way Test Essay Contest – Middle school students develop essays on this ethical problem solving tool in this competition
• Northcoast Interact -a Rotary sponsored youth club focused on service projects and international understanding
• For the school years 2023-2024 Rotary supported Parent Information Sessions in Avon, Avon Lake and Sheffield/Sheffield Lake School Districts
• For the school year 2024-2025 Rotary continued its support for Avon’s SOAR Parent Information Sessions
